Environmental initiatives
Our company strives to manage and effectively monitor air and water-borne emissions. Astra Tech invests substantial resources in preventative measures protecting the environment. Currently our highest priorities are in the areas of solvents, sterilization methods and choice of materials. For example, our urinary catheter LoFric® Plus is the successful result of one of our environmental initiatives. The catheter is made of PEBA, a PVC-free polymer completely free of chlorine and softeners. In addition to its excellent environmental qualities, the plastic also has a very positive effect on both the catheter’s surface layer and function. Concern, ethics and high standards ensure the long-term, sustainable progress and expansion of our company.
